Search no more you digital nomad! There’s a new place in town called Pura Vida, the first co-working and co-living space in Bucharest, Romania, dedicated especially to travelling freelancers like you:
“In addition to the common working and relaxing areas, freelancers and entrepreneurs which carry out their activities here, can rent rooms or beds in shared dorms at Little Bucharest Old Town Hostel upstairs. All the rooms, balconies, as well as the common areas have a view towards Lipscani and Smardan Streets – the most important pedestrian areas in Bucharest Old Town.” – says Tudor Maxim on his blog.
What does all this mean? Basically, it’s a hostel that also provides a working space. Often when I was travelling and wanted to work in the same time, I found that many hotels/hostels didn’t have a fast internet connection. In this case, being focused on exactly this type of business, the internet here is really super fast!
Again, from Tudor’s blog I found out that: “workshops and learning-sessions take place here every week, in which the members of the hub have a chance to share their knowledge and experience with others and to discuss inovative projects. The workspace is available for a whole day, a week, or even long term, and the prices depend on the time period.”
Are you interested in the costs? One-day access to the hub is 5 Euros, a week is 30 Euros and a month is 100 Euros.
The concept is new in Romania, but there are a lot of freelancers who travel and want a fast and stable internet connection and a little “office environment” to help them focus better.
Why choose a hub and not a coffee shop? Because you can’t spend your entire day in a coffee shop and the internet connection is not always the best, and also because you can concentrate better in such a place.
